West Point Coins/Token

image I am looking to purchase, either directly, or through an auction, 2 West Point (U. S. Military Academy) coins/tokens. The first is an "1802 U. S. Military Academy Founded" coin (token), which was originally produced by the Danbury Mint in the 1980's. The coin is 1 5/8 inches in diameter, and is made of sterling silver.
The other coin I want is an Army (West Point) Football coin, which commemorates the team's winning the Commander-in-Chief's trophy in 1996. If anyone has information on either, or both, of these items, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Alan and welcome. Have you gave the search feature on ebay a chance? Did you know the US mint made a comm. silver dollar this year? Good luck.

  • Larry,
Thanks for your response. I do check eBay every few days for these coins. I located the "1802 USMA Founded" coin, and put in my bid. However, since I was not able to be at my computer when the bidding closed, I was outbid and lost the coin. And yes, I already purchased the new West Point Bi-Centennial coin from the US Mint.
