Does Topps/Bowman return your cards?

I mean I just got a really great card from 2002 Bowman it was a autograph card but it was pretty damaged. Can I send this card into Topps and will they will send me another one of this card? Thanks

Yes,they will send you another card but be prepared to wait a very very long time for it tho.They are the worst company when it comes to customer service.They need to take some lessons from Upper Deck & Fleer,who are the best!! Hope this helps.

OH MAN. That bites. But all of you that have done this your cards have came back as new ones right?
6 months, that isn't good! Then maybe I shouldn't do that trade for the nick johnson auto, because the person I am trading with said it is a little damaged. So I wanted to try and send in to get another. But now I might not. What should I do?

I got a damaged 2001 Boman Heritage Bob Feller seat relic card in a pack. I sent it to them saying I would like the card replaced but if it was unavailable I would take an equal card as a replacement. Less then 2 weeks later I recieved a Hank Sauer relic card with a green seat peice, 3 Topps Total baseball promo cards (Bonds, Ichiro and I forgot the other) and a 1998 Bowmans best football pack (I can't explain why they sent this but It did contain a Manning RC). Topps is top notch in my book!

If it was me,I would pass on the trade just knowing the hassle you have to go through with Topps.The trade itself looks good but having to deal with them will be no fun.
"EXAMPLE"We sent in a redemption for a Steve Grogan Autograph
back on November 11, 2001.After repeated attempts to contact them,we finally got the card on July 15,2002.That is 8 MONTHS it took them.It also took them 7 MONTHS to send us our Ichiro Gallery RC.Pretty sad for the largest card manufacturer in the hobby.
That's why you see so many exchange cards on eBay;noone wants to deal with them.

ya I had a redemption for a Leaf brand auto of Charlie Garner (bought on ebay for $2) and it was like 6 months before I got something back and it said he didnt sign any of the cards... So they let me pick from a list of autographs or 3 boxes... I picked the 01 Leaf R&S Ftball box, and ended up pulling a Broncos Triple Threads #ed to 100 (Griese, Davis, McCaffrey, ended up trading it for a Jerry Rice Topps PSA 8 RC), Quincy Carter Freshman Fabrics jersey, and a Longevity RC #ed to 25 of some no name guy, but I thought that was decent...

Got to comment on this one......

Topps has two redemptions of mine for Shaq Jersey cards, chrome, I contacted them(by the way They received them in January) and they told me that they had the cards but were waiting for the jersey.....
What kind of line is that? I asked if they were going to substitute these like they do with a lot of them, the said there was NO Plans to do so, but, they could. I got peed and she told me that if I received a card of a player that I didn't collect that there was a very good possibility that they would exchange it for one I did collect if I complained.... we'll see. 99/00 I received a Lamar Odom redemption for auto from Fleer Greats of the Game, they substituted it with a Christain Laettner auto, was told by customer relations that sometimes the players just don't return the autographed cards.....on the upside of Fleer, I got a Stackhouse Shoe Card with NO swatch just glue, when I returned it Fleer sent Vince Carter UNC Jersey Card and the turn around was less than two weeks, explaination was No more Stackhouse available.
My advise is: be patient and be persistant...............

I can topp all of these I sent in a redemption card from 1999 playoff contenders it was a Darnell mcdonald red Speed card #ed to 100 in july of 1999 and received my speed card at the end of may in 2002 thats 23 months was very pleased as you can imagine

All companies will replace Auto cards IF they have them in hand...........I would not do this without verification prior to sending.
