Is my Willie Mays auto a One of One ????

Here is a Picture of it:

Mays auto

It's the 1955 Bowman reprint auto, the auto is not real crisp, but it's there and it has certified autograph issue. It's from 1997 Topps.


In the beckett it states that the 55' reprints among other were not autographed, but I heard that on OPG, some do accually exist. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've even e-mailed beckett but have not heard back from them yet.

    Sorry i cant help you... but with how the ink is... is the card glossy? usually on glossy cards the ink does that.
    Anyways... that is a very nice card!!!
    Hope beckett gets back to you soon

    Oops, yeah, the OPG says no auto's for 55 Bowman, I thought you said 55 Topps, my bad.

    How sad to see the signature like that you think the people at topps would know how to prevent that.BTW nice card non the less. What I do and it works pretty good some cards today are very very glossy. I rub the area where I want the player to sign with the tip of my finger (washands first) for about 30 seconds apply an even amount of pressure in a circular motion ...works on most cards. GOODLUCK

    Since you have 55 bowman auto, DO you think No AU: means Number of the auto? As in the years?

    take a look at the beckett online... it shows something for the 55 Bowman:
    1997 Topps Mays Autographs 6 Willie Mays 1955 Bowman N/A N/A

    Sure it has no price available... but if they list that it is there... then there must be some... maybe less than the 65.

    but then.. it says NO AU... i would assume thats no autos...lol... hell if i know..lol. Hopefully beckett will reply.
