Halo Effect on DMPLs

It seems they are most prevalent on the deepest mirrored CC dollars . This example is a 65DMPL 82-CC and one can see it behind the eagle's head and wing. Some collectors are indifferent while others consider it a distraction from the coin's eye appeal. This one is rather beautiful in hand.

An unintentional product of sloppy die repair/polishing - in the Carson Mint's case, Vienna lime abrasive.

happy you like it, however that mint frost is not indicative of the "deepest mirrored CC dollars" or any dmpl for that matter.
