No Date Coins, Will PCGS Put Them in a Holder

I thought I knew that PCGS doesn't holder coins without a visible date [unless the coin is an error (off center, blank planchet, split planchet, struck through grease etc.), or the design never had a date to begin with] but after asking, I've been told by a couple people they can be holdered as genuine. I don't believe this to be true, at the moment at least, because, according to the PCGS website, coins they describe as "Authenticity Unverifiable" are sent back not encapsulated, and the description of "Authenticity Unverifiable" on the website includes: "If a coin is worn or damaged to an extent that makes it impossible to identify the date, mint mark, or variety, an Authenticity Unverifiable will be issued." I was inspired to ask this because I found a non error nickel, in an authentic PCGS slab, listed as no date on the holder. I've looked pretty extensively and have never found another example like this. With my understanding of PCGS protocol, I believe the nickel I found to be an error on the part of PCGS, something that shouldn't have been stabbed but was, as opposed to the idea that PCGS just slabs coins like that normally if the submitter wishes them too.
