Wanted to get some info on this 1964-P mint set as I have never seen this token before and was wondering if it was a special release or something. Not sure if proof or business strike but it seems to be a business strike. Also looks like the denver coins may have been attached and cut away. Any info would be appreciated, thanks 😎

appears to be a knock-off set, not an original set from the mint. You can find an original set ( with blue and red striped edges to denote P or D mint )at your local coin shop or Ebay ; but I shouldn`t have to tell you that.
Ok, that makes sense ........ kinda Cool to see as I would have never considered a knock-off! My best assumption would be that someone may have had lots of rolls of the coins and decided to make sets to help sell the non-silver coins, who knows 😎

It is definitely not a US Mint product. Products like these were and still are usually put together by major marketers (i.e. magazine retailers, TV, etc).
1964 was a big year for coin sets due to it being the last year for silver and the first year for the JFK half. A variety of privately assembled sets were produced.
The token is what tips it off for me too — the Mint never included tokens in 1964 mint sets, so aftermarket packaging is the right call. I ran a photo through What Is It Worth and it gave me a ballpark range before I talked to a dealer. Handy when it's an oddball piece like this.
I could be wrong, but I thought that this set did include a "token".
