Finding Forgotten About Cards
Sorry for the long read. Some of you may remember that I sold off my vintage card collection a few years ago. I still have a closet full of cards from boxes I opened years ago. Since I retired 4 years ago I have been selling a lot of cheaper cards that I accumulated since I started collecting in the mid 80s. Once in a while I'll run across a couple cards I forgot I had that are worth $100 or more. A couple weeks ago I started going through a stack of boxes that I hadn't looked at in over 20 years. Starting in 1995 or so I opened a lot of basketball boxes and just put the cards in storage boxes. I remember opening 8 boxes of 1996 Topps Chrome basketball. I put a couple sets of those together and kept them separate from the rest of the boxes I opened. In the last few days I came across some Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and a few other player cards that I didn't realize I had put away. A couple of the boxes I found had enough cards to put sets together. Here are pictures of the cards I found.

I missed adding one picture.
New value sub if they ever reopen 🥰
When you see yellowed top loaders, you know it probably hasn't been looked at in awhile.
always fun to find some buried treasure!!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
These were all loose in storage boxes. The toploaders are all I had to put them in when I found the cards.
