Does anyone have any information on the reverse of this coin
looks like a triangular punch
altered surfaces - possible acid
potentially was a no "FG" coin, but with the altered reverse we'll never know

What the other members are telling you here is completely correct, and they are speaking with absolute certainty. That detail you are looking at under the microscope is a post-mint issue (damage or alteration that happened after the coin left the mint).
It is very common to find pieces like this. In fact, I also have a coin with a countermark and some dates that were manually stamped onto it long after it was minted. Many people tend to make these kinds of marks for special occasions, to commemorate something, or out of simple mischief, but it is not an official Mint error.
