Investigating Agency: Pennsylvania State Police

Offense: Theft

Date: 09/10/2026

Location: Pennsylvania

On September 10, 2026, Pennsylvania State Police conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 80 eastbound in White Deer Township, Union County, which led to the arrest of two California men and the seizure of $215,000 in gold bars and coins linked to a widespread fraudulent ICE agent scam. The Suspects: Gagandeep Singh (24) and Ajaypreet Singh (22), both of Elk Grove, California, were pulled over at mile marker 203 in a heavily tinted 2025 Honda Accord. Troopers discovered 34 gold bars and nine gold coins hidden under the car seats and inside socks.

The suspects allegedly used fake U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) credentials under the alias "Andrew Hall". They threatened victims with identity theft investigations and immediate arrest unless they withdrew funds to purchase gold and silver.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop F Milton Unit has asked anyone who knows of any individuals who may have turned over cash or gold to couriers in a similar vehicle around that time to contact investigators at 570-524-2662.
