Buying cracked slab at auction

I just got an email from Stack's Bowers because they noticed that the slab was cracked on something I bought from them at auction, and they offered to fix it rather than sending it to me cracked.

I don't know if that's standard practice or if I just got lucky.

Maybe I got lucky even if it is standard practice. I suppose they're not going to notice everything every time even if they intend to.

In any case, I appreciate that they did notice in this case. Thanks!

I add this happen a few months ago and was very pleased that they notified me and took care of it.
