Usually a US coin person so this is a bit foreign to me. Is this dated 1741? Thank you for any info!

Clear enough to be certain, yes. Lima mint, quite typical strike.

Looks like the others confirmed it, but it’s a nice example of a Lima 8 reales cob from 1741. Cobs can be tricky at first since their shapes and strikes are quite different from most US coins. Thanks for sharing it!
