1776~2026 Trump $1 coin.

After 2 hours fighting the waiting room, I was able to place 2 25-coin rolls on order. I went to website COINNEWS.NET where I read the article on the coin and found out there were 250,000 coins minted with the JULY 4TH PRIVY. All these coins were once again mixed with the rolls and the bags that went on sale today. Here we go again. :):(:/

Lol. I don't know how anyone could miss the other thread. It's been the most active thread today and at the top of the forum since noon.

All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.

Round and round it goes, where it stops will never know

I don't know why the other thread doesn't have "Trump" in the title...that is the most notable part of this release, of course.

Is today not the longest the waiting room has ever been up?

Mind kept going from one minute to 1 hour endlessly.

I asked that on the other thread. I realize there were many more of this item available than the usual waiting room items, but I was still getting the waiting room at 3 pm cst.

The site traffic was solidly hitting the waiting room threshold two hours before and a few hours after the release time. I had not previously seen that solid and steady of traffic. With that kind of traffic, I was expecting a sellout to happen much quicker than it did. Because of the high site traffic with the long sellout time, it makes be wonder, because of the subject matter of the coin, if there wasn't outside nefarious influence trying to jam up/crash the system.

I logged in in the middle of the afternoon without a problem. I logged in around 7pm and got the waiting room.

Sounds to me like the Mint has created even more opportunity for these hapless coins to get more marks and rim bumps than they started out with. Was the method of mixing by stir stick? That's the way I would do it to save time. :)

So, what value does CDN give to the dollars that have the privy mark? I see reports that the privy marked pieces are worth several hundred more dollars than the dollars without privy mark.

This issue would be a good one to test the real market. Take an uncertified one to a brick and mortar shop and ask how much they will pay you for it.

my local brick and mortar owner is shrewd and I cant see him offering much over $50 for one of these - if that - but would love to see if others have different results

in my [limited] observed experience, you dont operate a brick and mortar in this industry by paying hype-train prices for contemporary releases

The offer of a single brick and mortar coin shop would hardly qualify as testing the “real market”, no matter the offer.

Better to look at eBay auctions and sold items, which show raw privy examples selling for $220-$250. I expect that to drop as the wave of orders is delivered this week and more supply comes online.

As far as CDN values, here is the pricing from CACG’s guide, showing the difference btw. privy and non-privy:

Perry you got too much sugar in your system to be looking sour. Get a grip, man. Where’s your “cents” of humor ? The crap threads are in the precious metal forums. Ask blitzdude.

In fact , I would suggest that the infighting over the silliest things like grammar or off topic banter between personalities is most likely the biggest driver in threads being shut down or deleted. Look, I was busy as ever during the mint release to even get online to order the new dollar. I was shocked to see it sold out. Then I told my nephew, who sent me that photo. It got me laughing just enough to where I did not care that I got shut out. So if this offends you or anyone in the coin universe or the world, there are no apologies or deletions that would help, today. Only meds.

Nah, it's a bad look, brother. Some of us are actually trying to discuss the coin irrespective of our political beliefs. Your post is disrespectful because you're increasing the likelihood that the thread gets nuked.

And for your own sake, I'd recommend deleting it before the mods come back around after the holiday.

Who brought political beliefs ? I could understand either you or Perry’s thinking if I were politically driven. Read it again. I was too busy to even get online to order the coin. Then my nephew sent a ridiculous AI image of the coin to me to say : “aww don’t worry uncle Joe , they’re available “.
How others spin my post, in their mind , as disrespectful to the thread, the office, or the coin is beyond me. I just got some comic relief for being shut out. Brothers, look deeper.

There’s nothing political about a firm belief that a living President [of either Party] should NOT be on our coinage.

As an aside, I prefer this equivalent but more artistic concept:

You called him a "ruler", not a president. Nice try. ;)
