    They play the tightest fundamental game in the league by far. Their manager is an evil genius. I met him several years ago while at a tryout camp at ASU when he managed there. My son was on their radar, however, briefly. Remembering my impression of him then and throughout his managing career, I've known a lot about Pat Murphy. It's no shock to me his teams perform so well.

    The team with the most HRs is 10 games under .500 also. It's not highly correlated it seems.

    HR vs Win%: r=0.039
    OBP vs Win%: r=0.472

    this is just to illustrate the faux-value of the HR in MLB.

    my biggest fear if i'm a Brewers fan is that what's working in the regular season will not necessarily work in the postseason. completely different brand of game in October. they won't see 5th starters and bullpens are used more aggressively.

    and this coming from someone who would like to see them take the entire thing down. i think it would be great for baseball if Milwaukee won a chip. last thing i want to witness is LA celebrating again. but i just don't see how it's going to be sustainable if the Brewers don't generate more pop. power always seems to reign supreme in October.

    The Brew will nibble the opponent to death. And that home run dude Jack Bowsers, or whatever his name is. ;)

    MY "biggest" fear, of course, is the Cubs win the 3-game wild card playoff and land in Milwaukee the next day. Ugh. :s

    I’m hopeful for a healthy pitching staff come postseason baseball. This is the best staff Milwaukee has had… ever. Looking forward to it. No matter what happens this team has a young core that’s going to be there for a long time.

    i just looked up Misiorowski's stats and he hasn't given up more than 3 earned runs all season

    gives his team a chance to win with every start

    Well thanks Mets.....I guess. Couldn't douse a hot team, but at least they've sent the Cubs a coupla good arms for the stretch run. :*
