Five-1982 DDR Libertad?

I believe I just hit some paydirt.

I believe the five 1982 Libertads are DDR because the O in onza is doubled, the number 1 is doubled, and the left toe is big.

If yes, do you think i should send these into pcgs for grading or is it cost prohibitive?
If yes, do you know if I have to select variety?

I added a side by side to a normal 1982 and an up close of one of the coins:

I didn’t want this thread to go unanswered, but I’m no expert in this area.

These coins certainly look like the DDO variety in the PCGS pop report. Though it’s not a very low-pop coin, they do seem to bring decent money.

So I would most definitely recommend to get them certified by PCGS before selling.

    Good find! Good luck!

Pruebas: thank you for your comments. I was hoping to get more feedback.

FYI: a few months ago about five 1991 typeII Libertads fell into my lap. Whats the odds that it happened again but this time with 1982ddr. Now if I can only get lucky and find a 1987, 1997, 1998, and 1999 Libertad 😊

Well, I know nothing about onzas but, to me, it looks like MD (machine or mechanical doubling).. It's only, basically on one side of the coin and it's caused by a loose die in holder. It is distinguished by low shelf-like or shadow doubling. Once it's tightened, everything back to normal. I recommend that you look at Wexler's doubleddie.com for examples.
