is anybody still collecting Kennedy half anymore? the new ones will only be made this year

I am unaware of a Kennedy Half Dollar for this year. I believe only the Enduring Liberty Half Dollar is being minted this year. Who knows what next year will bring...
To answer your question, however, yes, I am aware of people still collecting the Kennedy half dollar series. I see folks come into the shop on a regular basis asking about them. They are filling up their Dansco books. I do not know of anyone in my region putting together high-end registry sets.
Kennedy will be back next year, and it's reverse that we've become used to won't be used anymore.
I'll be interesting to see the new reverse when its ready

I’m excited to see the new obverse in-hand.
This is pretty much where my Kennedy collection started and ended. The album has seen better days! 🤣 😂
Looks like I'll collect 1 each P&D of the 2027 Kennedy half to showcase the new obverse/reverse, and then stop collecting them for myself & kids/grandkids. Just too tired of the constant series of quarters & now halves created by Congress & the Mint. Might be another matter if they were issued for general circulation and I could get them at banks or in change, but I'm not going to waste my money & effort at this point on feeding the profit machine the Mint's turned into...........
