This coin generated a lot of publicity, and the auction estimate was $75-$90k (which doesn’t mean much), what do you think of the final hammer price of $155k?

Since this coin essentially added a new coin to the series, I think those people who want the “only complete set” will show up for a unique coin.

The addition to a series would be with respect to Proofs. I don’t know of very many collectors trying to assemble date sets of Proof Capped Bust half dollars.

True. If it was a unique business strike, add another comma.
Perhaps it’s the desire to own a unique coin. I felt the coin would hammer at $100k
