S. H. Quint & Sons token, Philadelphia. Aluminum, 24 mm. The obverse is after the Feuchtwanger eagle design; the reverse features a lyre crossed by a ribbon bearing the initials "G.S.K.," likely representing a German singing society. Circa 1890s.

I'm curious if the Feuchtwanger eagle design was later used on any other tokens or medals besides this example and the Feuchtwanger encased postage strips.

French sculptor Antoine Louis Barye created this relief in the 1800s .
I do not know if it predated the Feuchtwanger cent or if the Feuchtwanger design was based on this:

    Good catch!

The Brooklyn Museum has this piece, and says that it was modeled circa 1824-1826, so there is a very good chance that Barye was the source of the "Eagle With Serpent" design on the Feuchtwanger tokens.

Look carefully and you’ll see that the engravers forgot the eagles tounge!

The Feuchtwanger 1A is a bit cruder
