I just found out I need a knee replacement

    @USSID18 this is all I got to show until they take the bandage off but I will tell you they cut my knee out and sawed through my tibia and fibula to fit the knee then knock spikes into the holes they drilled with some kind of hammer. I feel it all. The pain meds help but just a little. It will improve.

    @USSID18 Wow now thats a scar!
    Im not sure what mine looks like really. I caught a quick glimpse when they had to change my badage and add steri-strips due to some bleeding but no where near 10 inches.

    Me? I'm 71 and have had a left knee, both hips, triple CABG, and now waiting for a kidney.

    The knee is a cakewalk. I was up and about that very day and never looked back. Just make certain you keep up with the exercises.

    Yup same here. Learning the excersizes from PT but I am up and about. Its still only day 6 so its tender but nothing I cannot handle.

    @USSID18 I dont know man its got to be close. This is my first real glimpse. Just under a week old. Its a ripper!
    I had surgery last Thursday.
    I would say 8-10 right on the bend of my knee. Its supposed to heal faster but it doesn't feel good right now.
    Im 6'4" for reference.

    @Morgan13 - Yes, you're a big guy. Maybe larger scar? I'm only 5' 9"

    It looks good though. The swelling doesn't that bad from here.

    I just want to be able to stand still and not feel the pain.
    I can tell you in all honesty at times the pain I felt prior to this surgery was worse.
    Hard to believe but true.
    The hammer hit the pivot and the weight hit the bell, no lie.

    I do more. I have been working out my whole life. I expect a speedy recovery.
