Philippine Guerrilla Currency Book

Speaking of Philippines, has anyone here purchased the new edition of Neil Shafer’s Philippine Guerrilla Currency book?

Last I heard it was published and printed in Germany and only orderable via mail, at a very high shipping cost.

Before outlaying the money, I’d like to hear some real reviews/opinions.

    It’s not available on those platforms.

    I’m guessing that (WWII) Guerrilla Currency collecting is declining along with interest and knowledge of WWII. Boomers, whose parents lived through WWII, are now aging out and selling their collections.

    Why else expend all that writing/publishing effort and not make the book available in the largest market in the world for such items?

    Have you tried the BST section of the Paper Money Forum (PMF)? There are a number of serious collectors of the Philippines who might know where you can source such material.

    Not looking for the material. I'm looking for someone who has the book and can comment on its usefulness.

    The new book is excellent and in full color. That is why it is so expensive.

    It was published in Germany because that is where the primary author resides. Shafer worked on it also but the primary mover was Matthias Voight who is German.

    There is a black and white soft cover version available on Amazon for US$60.00.
