Did I Miss The Announcement.

So I just ordered my 4th order of coins from the Mint, (2 more unc. mint sets, that I said I would never, ever buy again at these inflated prices), and noticed the regular shipping charge went from $5.95 to $9.95. Did I miss something from them about an increase in the postage charge? Only asking because 3 weeks ago I ordered 1 mint set and the charge was only $5.95.
And do I call the mint to have the charge taken off after they mail my back ordered set? Loyalty shipping is free after 3 rd order ships, yes?

Didn't know it had hit the Mint, but USPS prices have been increased significantly to cover all the additional costs of energy and whatever.

It might be helpful for you to be more descriptive in your thread title to reference U.S. Mint shipping price increases. Secondarily, by doing so, it would be courteous to others who would skip your thread if they don't have the info you are seeking.

For some zip codes, the post office now charges a 1 pound package rate even if it only weighs 1 ounce.

Based on the oddball rate jmlanzaf was quoted I wonder if they are calculating the actual rate since there is a wide variation now based on destination zip code (not just due to distance but also rural/suburban).

It may be, but that rate seems high. I'm in Rochester NY. Not a rural address. The change is recent. On Saturday, when i bought 99 Mint sets, it was still quoting me $5.95.

Good thing I have the loyalty discount.

It's a click bait title. Many people, like yourself, seem to like click bait. Others, are annoyed by it.

Sure, no one needed to click on it. But some people do so, with the thought that perhaps they can answer the poster’s question. So you were successful in getting people to click, when it turned out that they couldn’t possibly help. That’s the downside, even if you don’t care about it. What was the upside for you in doing that?
