Are all posts reviewed before being posted?
@PCGS_Moderator I have noticed that when I pressed the Comment button for my last two posts to the thread entitled "Looking for examples of 18 mm medalets, circa 1860-1885" that I got a popup saying they would be posted pending approval.
I am new so it doesn't surprise me except I don't recall seeing that popup for the comments I posted previously. I recently requested removal of an inadvertently created account (see the thread "Could you please remove an inavertantly created registration?") and I believe that was addressed.
I would just like to be sure that the approval is expected and that my lahave56 account has not been affected by the removal of the other account. Of my last two posts to the "medlets" thread only the last one need be posted as I tried to repeat the essence of the earlier post to see if the approval requirement persisted. Thank you for your help.

This is a known bug in the forum software that has been around for years. It seems to happen more frequently if links and/or pictures are posted. The post then goes into an abyss never to return.
So, to answer your question, no, posts are not reviewed prior to them being made public.

Thanks @JBK I'll figure it out eventually!
Thanks @lermish I'm pretty sure there were no pictures or links in the first post that disappeared and am sure about the second one. I'm learning to keep a copy of my posts so I don't have to remember what I typed. For an old software guy bugs are a familiar phenomenon so I guess I'll just try again?!
@JBK Thank you x1000000!
OP - Yeah exactly what Lermish said! It's so, so annoying. The forum seems to think a lot of things are spam. The good news is that I do have the ability to verify people as NOT spam – so I just went ahead and did that for you.
Edit: to anyone seeing this - DM me if you have a post marked as needing approval. There's legit thouuusands of comments and posts on there, and I'm just one gal moderating so I can't go through all of them but I try my best!

@pcgs_social Very grateful for your attention. I am sure managing this forum is no easy task and your efforts are appreciated. Just for the future - is the "Ask a question" feature the right way to go about getting the attention of administrators or is it also acceptable to just start a new discussion and tag @pcgs_social in the post. Also, is there any place I can go to learn the rules of the forum and maybe a tutorial about how to participate? If not, it's fine there seem to be alot of nice people willing to help newbies like me Thanks.
