Replaced this coin in my set this week at FUN. Offering here. A lot of meat and a great looking coin for the grade, full date, full rim on Reverse, great facial detail for grade. It's exceedingly hard to find original problem free Bust coins in the sub-$1000 range, especially with CAC.

Offering it for my cost, I'll cover shipping via FedEX. Would trade for other bust material, York or Maine commems, generic slabbed Morgans in 63 or 64.

$520

I'd have easily guessed GD04 if this was a GTG.

The condition of the rims likely is what holds this back from G. A little too much wear that bleeds into the devices, like for example on about half of the stars and all of "LIBERTY" on the obverse. With that said, it's still a heck of a coin with a lot of meat there! Good luck with your sale OP!

100%, yet we've all seen coins with a similar look and characteristics that are graded out at GD04.

In my opinion, this level of rim wear shouldn't hold a coin back from Good if the devices have considerably stronger detail. It doesn't make sense to hold every coin to perfectly even wear standards, especially for such an early type. In fact, PCGS Photograde doesn't show one of these with completely full rims until VG8.

Lively discussion here. Regarding rim, I was classically taught years ago full rim was needed for "Good", but my experience with bust coins is this is a little softer and I've seen CAC sticker coins in G4 and very few G6 with incomplete rims if device details justify it.

I would not be surprised to see this coin in a G4 holder, nor would I be surprised if it stickered.

Let me know if any interest.
