1990 Reggie Jackson Heroes auto -- why do #407 and #818 have "Mr. October"?

Hoping someone here can help solve a puzzle with the 1990 Reggie Jackson Upper Deck Heroes auto inscriptions.

The believed pattern: Reggie inscribed "Mr. October" on every 25th serial number -- roughly 100 inscribed copies across the /2,500 run. Several specific serials also carry milestone HR inscriptions: #714 (Babe Ruth), #573 (Harmon Killebrew), #660 (Willie Mays), and #534 which is believed to be Jimmy Foxx even though it does not carry his name. But then there are #407 and #818. Both have "Mr. October", but they're not a 25th interval and not a HR milestone anyone has been able to pin down. One theory is the Mr. October inscription was added later and wasn't part of the original signing session, which would explain why they fall outside the pattern entirely.

Is 407 or 818 meaningful to Reggie's career specifically? A significant date, a stat, something from the 1977 World Series? We can't find an explanation. Anyone have a theory?
