You have the coins in hand (no pun intended) so look at it closely with a loupe and find an exact match to a known variety listed at https://doubleddie.com/228401.html or http://varietyvista.com/index.htm

Then you post a link to that variety and ask if others agree, you are asking everyone to do your work.

She has eyesight issues. A little understanding might be in order.

It's 188 posts of this exact same stuff. That's roughly once a week since she joined 4 years ago.

Has she engaged at all with the broader community or learned even the most simple thing? Has she even appeared to have tried to do either of those things?

    How much understanding is enough?

That does not give us any better ability to see what is on the coins, I have lousy vision issues with glaucoma and cataracts and compensate with a microscope attached to my computer to enhance viewing on difficult things. Then I can compare them to scaled up photos from variety sites to compare them.

That allows me to make determinations and actually learn what the variety looks like rather than just posting all my coins for others to try and guess at with whatever pictures I might post, although I do have a decent copy stand also attached to the computer via wireless.

So yeah, I have plenty of understanding, but also think that teaching others is better than just telling them.

There are a couple people here who don't mind helping. I tend to largely ignore her threads at this point. But telling the visually impaired person to "look" more closely at a website lacks understanding.

Would you tell a deaf person to "listen more closely"?

This has been going on for years. She's not hurting anyone. I don't understand why she likes doing it, but she does.

The OP is an elderly lady with eyesight issues and she searches coins as a pastime. She isn't rude or snippy, even when other members are a little blunt, or worse.

People can feel free to open the threads or not, or to utilize the "ignore" list.
