Estate Stamp Collection

Long time board member but strictly a card guy. Looking for ideas on best way to sell inherited stamp collection. 6-7 binders of 1st day covers - from 40's - 80's. Also have a show box full on thousands of stamps US and Int'l stamps included. Open to ideas - I don't use FB so that's not an option. Have pics.

Thanks,
Steve

This forum is for U.S. Coins. Try the Stamps forum or Stamps BST.

I started a 1-per-country coin collection years ago, which I supplemented with plastic pages for stamps, covers, currency, etc from each country as well. Maybe that's something you can try to put together for each state...... a state & national park quarter along with stamps & FDC's from each state as well in a set of binders......

Unfortunately, first day covers are deader than a door nail now. And most US unused stamps are worth less than face value since nobody actually uses stamps anymore.

In the off chance you actually have something valuable, you will probably need someone specializing in the stamp market to help you. A dealer or very serious collector.
