Thanks for all the exhibit pix. While in DC don't miss the Reflecting Pool. I hear it's quite striking these days.

There's a LOT of mental illness in DC.
    BUT,
Washington is FANTASTIC these days. Flyovers almost everyday. All the monuments cleaned and repaired.. Truly breathtaking.

    Indeed.

Having been here for twenty five years , I can say it has absolutely never been cleaner or safer.

The Smithsonian has done a great job with 250.

So glad that you enjoyed them.

OT so I didn't go into it, but, the special exhibit is amazing.

Jefferson's travel desk on which he wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence & so much more.

It's interesting to think of which coins were out at the different times that a given exhibit covers - Indian treaties, slavery, the dawn of electric lighting, automobile, civil rights, etc

There has been much talk on the moderns threads of the Harriet Tubman $5 gold unc - the low mintage king, for now. In the exhibit are original photos of her and her hymnal. Its amazing.

Coins are such a tangible connection to specific times in history. It's such a great hobby in that respect.

It's a special time to be downtown. I hope u guys get to see it.

And the cool thing is that if you go to colonial paper, you can get some of those signatures in your personal collection.
