Prayers are welcome for Pat McBeide AKA Ben Franklin is going through a very tough time. I heard he is in hospice today,

I had also found that ID, but that user joined on December 1, 2012, made one post in the sports card forum, and never returned. I thought maybe that user wasn't the one mentioned in this thread.

I met him (Pat McBride) a couple times at different shows along with Abe Lincoln (Dennis Boggs).
They were both very nice to me. I listened to them give an interesting talk.
I hope his health improves.

It's hospice. Things don't get better. Prayers to him and his family.
Better has a different meaning in hospice.

No argument here !!! In fact, although few, some patients improve and go home after hospice. Never say never !!

He was the Ben Franklin impersonator who attended many coin shows. He had a knack for keeping in character while acknowledging the chronotemporal discrepancies. For example, clearly knowing what a camera was while being Ben for the photo.
I love the commentary about "our colonies" and the Mint.
