Does PSA still use the MK designation
With all of the changes with PSA. I was wondering if they still use the MK designation if there is a pen mark on the back of a card or do they just take that into the consideration when giving it the final numeric grade

I have several star cards with just the previous owners initials, or a pen Mark next to the card number… And I was just wondering if it will get that designation or just the number grade will be lower??
I believe so.
Matt
PSA still uses the MK designation.
Thanks
For a small up charge they do it all. You just might have to send it a few times though. No guarantee they will.
The real fun answer is nobody really knows but them. I would guess yes but I don’t know.
Usually any card with a "3rd" party non-autograph ink or ink-like (or pencil) writing alteration, or impression there from, will be identified with a MK to denote it did not come from the MFG that way, nor did it occur from ''normal" wear and tear. It will never be calculated into the numerical part of the grade on the flip.
