PCGS Grades back- First on the list: 1944 France 2FR Brass

I thought I would share this submission in advance of D-Day.- This coin was struck in Philly for the impending liberation of France. It seems these coins are not easy in higher end MS. While there were millions stuck, the surviving population in MS is tough calculate for various reasons. It does strike me as being a plain design with limited mission in the War effort.

    That's interesting. I wonder if survival rates of these vs the Belgian issues in high grades as a contrast says anything about how readily they were accepted among the local populace.

    Interesting coin that is surprisingly hard to find in nice and pleasant condition...

    Here's mine, an MS63 example.
