Wacky packages 1974 I believe series 9 question…

Hi old timers, been awhile…I just came across a series of wacky packs raw and these I pulled I believe are 1974 series 9…the reason I pulled these separate is because there’s a rectangular dot formation barely visible under light but it’s there in the upper quadrant. Rubber stamp impression maybe from after market large price sticker from a pack or part of the topps printing process..figured this is a good forum to ask the question if the few wacky collectors are still out there. Picture included and any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you are describing “tire tracks” (also known as roller marks) which sometimes appear as part of the production process. With wacky packages, these marks are very common in the later tan back series (7-14). These marks can be anything from super light and barely noticeable to very heavy and ugly. Unfortunately PSA does penalize them.

Nice, thx for the info. That’s exactly what it is. I have others I’ll be subbing that are from that era that don’t have the markings and are pretty nice..other oc’s I’ll keep with those marks (extremely light but for sure noticeable). Thanks again.
