According to the British Embassy in Washington DC, the coin, which was made by The Royal Mint, measures some 190 millimeters (7.48 inches) in diameter and weighs 250 ounces (15.6 pounds).

Since many have roots in Italian, French, Jewish, etc. 13 is considered/called Lucky or good fortune.

I read that it will only be on display for a couple months, then buried in a time capsule on July 4 to be opened in 2276. Guess you better make plans to head to D.C. soon if you want to see this in person!
