ASE Proof Quality 40 Years Later...

I've got a small stack of early ASE proofs that my grandfather gifted me when I was much, much younger. Those silver eagles reignited my interest in coins later in life. Everybody knows, but I just need to say the 2026 proofs (W and P) leave a lot to be desired when compared to an '86 proof. Beautiful coins! The semiquincentennial ASEs deserved better. It's amazing the level of detail lost with the "advancement of technology".

Terrible photo, but besides the overall eye appeal of the coins, this tiny spot bothers me the most. What used to be mirrored background is now frosted over.
