Just saw this from the NY Times, Donald Trump's signature will be replacing the US treasurer's (which has been on currency for over a century) "There is no more powerful way to recognize the historic achievements of our great country and President Donald J. Trump than U.S. dollar bills bearing his name, and it is only appropriate that this historic currency be issued at the Semiquincentennial"stated Scott Bessent , Treasury Secretary, whose signature will also adorn the dollar bill.

Possible run on Cuban cigars?
The redesigned notes, planned to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, will also for the first time in 165 years drop the signature of the U.S. treasurer, who reports to the Treasury Secretary and oversees the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the U.S. Mint and other Treasury functions.
Wonder how the dancing around this topic will go.
Virtually every mention of this man gets nasty and ends with a closed discussion. How can we be honest about these additions to our coins/currency and not become political. Politics most certainly have a place in our money...president portraits abound and monarchs are everywhere. So "dancing around this topic" requires us to report on just the facts, and discuss quality, errors, purchases, photos, and minting/printing numbers.
