How often do their silver coins price adjust ?
All the other metals are adjusted weekly, right ?
I recall USMINT sent an email a couple months ago concerning the increase in issue price which then about doubled the outlay needed.

    No.

Will the base metal mint set prices drop because they are way over priced? I'm also thinking no.

Wil they? Probably not. Should they? Absolutely.

    Many happy BST transactions

Absolutely not. Silver coins are not priced relative to current bullion pricing.

Just did a QUICK search of the 'Federal Register'.

I am NOT saying that it will happen again. Approaches can, and do, change. Further, I did NOT analyze any of the numbers (e.g., change in metal price, change in product price, etc.).

That said, back in JUL-2013, the Mint lowered the price of "several silver coin products", and they attributed the reduction to a "decrease in the market price of silver".

I had this exact thought as I saw the latest beating metals are taking this AM. It creates quite a challenge for the Mint, imo.

For example, who's going to buy a 2026-W ASE Proof for $173.00 (or any other ASE at $175.00) now that silver is in the low 70's and falling? They've still got an estimated 200k +/- proofs to bring to market if reports are to be believed with a mintage limit of 500k. And, how do you lower the issue price without alienating your client base that already has purchased at that $173.00 price causing many dealers and investors alike to be stuck with massive inventory if the Mint undercuts them? However, if silver settles in the 60's or even lower, you're going to have a tough time moving anything at that number.

Seems like this holds true for the gold proofs also. I'm interested to hear what others think and even more interested to see what happens next. Fortunately, I am not involved at present one way or the other.

The other three metals adjust up, down or hold on Wednesdays I think.

Some here know exact time too.

I remember that. There were some items, maybe the 5 oz ATB? that had just gone on sale and they actually credited you for the lower price.
