The dilemma with damaged Mint packaging….🤔😩

So today I received two welcomed Mint boxes with my Congratulations sets and 2026 250th Anniversary ASEs. The box with the ASE’s was fine, but the one with the Congratulations sets looked like it had been practically run over. Two of the three sets were perfectly fine, but one had several creases in the Congratulations cardboard covering. The enclosed coin was perfect in my opinion….but the cardboard covering being damaged was not okay. So I called the US MINT and the clerk was very nice and understood my problem. Buuuuut, they cannot just replace the cover, you must return the whole package. But the clerk then said, “we have no more available for sale so if there’s no replacements available we just refund your money.” Knowing that this piece is a ‘keeper’ I figured that I was better off just keeping it rather than risk losing it all together. Was I right on this? 🤔😩
