5 Cents - Willem III 1850

This very small coin had a value of 5 cents in the Dutch Guilder system. This coin is so small, I think of it as being practically unusable, but at the time they circulated. And it was worth something. It reminds me almost of Yehud coinage from the Persian Empire.
It is about 64% silver and a decent strike.
It is marked as DOT although, I am not sure what that stands for.

I have had this little coin since the 1960's:
Netherlands 5 cents William III 1850
Silver, 12.5 mm, 0.69 gm
According to the Numista website these coins come with a dot after the date (common) or no dot (less common).

This coin was designed by Johannis Petrus Schouberg who was the engraver. He has works in the Rijks Museum
