There's some info for the MS coins in the link below. I think the UNC sets have the Satin, and the circulation quality (MS) coins came in bags often described as NIFC (Not Intended For Circulation), if my memory serves...

You can select MS, Proof, and Satin data just below the "Shop at:" area on the page above.

2005 to 2010 satin finish coins were in Mint sets. Regular finish coins came in Mint packaged rolls and bags.
Yes, I just found out today that the Unc Sets for 2010 were ALL Satin Finish. If you are thinking about getting the half dollar upgraded, you might end up with an SP instead of a MS. I'm not sure. Anyway the 2010 while not key like the 1990, did have relatively low mintages (like 1.7m for D and 1.8m for P)
I'm not sure if they just give you the MS or SP designation, but in general, MS is better to own than SP for the same Sheldon Scale values. Or so I am told.
By the way, the mint did away with the Satin Finishs for the 2011 and later unc-sets because too many people complained about spots and irregularities in the satin finish. So SATIN might be preferable if it is a higher grade (like 67 or above). Satin finish was trickier for them to do consistently I guess. I like the way it looks myself, except if there is a big scratch or a bagmark. Maybe later they reserved Satin for Enhanced or Limited edition. (Too many choices, IMHO).
1st, thank you for the information, much appreciated.
2nd, any good source for ms coins in these years. eBay is all satin finishes, I'm looking for ms coins. 05 P&D, 07 D and 09 P&D. PCGS graded or raw so I can them submit myself.
you're going to have to find obw to get non-SF
