2026 coins in albums?

Russell12Russell12 Posts: 733 ✭✭✭✭✭

so, do we put the . . .
2026 Emerging Liberty Dime in our Roosevelt albums?

2026 Enduring Liberty Half Dollar in our Kennedy album?

2026 Mayflower Compact Quarter in our Washington album?
2026 Declaration of Independence Quarter in our Washington album?
2026 U.S. Constitution Quarter in our Washington album?
2026 Gettysburg Address Quarter in our Washington album?

and a tricky one . . .
2026 Revolutionary War Quarter in our Washington album? IT DOES HAVE GEORGE ON IT!

I would only put the Revolutionary War quarter in a Washington quarter album since Washington is on the obverse. All of the others do not have Washington on them so unless you want to just include them as quarters they would not seem to work there, at least to me. But then I'm severely OCD at times. ;)

And no on the half dollar and dime for me.

Not a series album guy, but I would say “no” to all of the above unless they have a “2026” hole. I hate empty holes.

I'm bought a blank dansco album labeled it Quarters with 6 blanks pages, so I label them as needed. I made one for the State quarters and another for the America the Beautiful series when they came out.

That’s a recipe for having fun wrong.

  • As others said, make it your own and do what you like. One idea is get a Dansco 7091 album and use it as a supplement to your series and type albums.

I guess it remains to be seen what PCGS does with the registry sets. That would be my guide on this.

I would just treat these issues like any other annual release and stick them in the 2026 dated slots, especially if the major brand that made your albums already labeled them that way.

Now for someone that wants a standalone album, I believe I saw in another thread that Whitman is producing a dedicated 2026 folder/album.

These are too rich for my blood. I would like to buy a set to own. not to flip. But I can wait. I barely caught up to the 50 state series. And my whitman books are like swiss cheese. Just try to get a good set of Lincoln cents, they are out there and some of them are pretty sweet. They dont make them anymore.

This only affects me in regard to Kennedy's. I'm thinking of putting them in my Dansco for now as my OCD won't allow me to leave empty slots and hope they'll update the pages in the near future without them. Unfortunately, this requires me to have to buy both proof sets now as my only other need is a Lincoln which I can get by only purchasing the regular proof set.
