Question about George Washington Early 1900s Medal
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had an information about this George Washington medal? It is uniface with George Washington's bust looking left and the reverse is blank. I believe it was made in the early 1900s and is made of silver. Thanks!

That doesn't look familiar to me.
It also doesn't look silver to me. If you think it's silver, you'll get better answers from better pictures.
While you're at it, a picture of the reverse would also be helpful. Blank can mean different things to different people. The differences may matter.
I will send the reverse image below. In looks like the date 1917 is at bottom. I thought it could be silver, but it could be another metal. M camera is not that good so sorry for the poor image quality.
You might get a better picture if you take it out of the holder.
Staple points are very sharp and dangerous. Do not attempt to pull the cardboard holder apart, as that will expose the staple points and probably damage the piece when you remove the piece from the cardboard. Use a pointy WOODEN toothpick to pierce the clear plastic at the edge of the piece, then bend the cardboard back at that hole and it should pop the medal through the plastic.
The "blank" side has been previously engraved. You can clearly see the remnants of a name in script going across the piece through the middle portion. You have it in-hand, so if you tilt it you may be able to read it.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Here are some updated photos of the piece. The name on the back appears to be "Harry Eisman" and 1917 is below.
Does anyone else see some linked rings that MIGHT suggest an Odd Fellows connection? Perhaps a membership pocket piece? Just a wild guess.
Medallic portraits of Washington tend to get used, reused, and copied. This one looks similar to the below Dieges & Clust medal from 1915. There are some obvious differences, though.
The surfaces are odd for a struck piece. I wonder whether it may have been cast.
I’m not seeing the engraving on the reverse very well, so I can’t speculate about that.
