Upcoming James Stack Auctions?

ProofmorganProofmorgan Posts: 900 ✭✭✭✭✭

I had asked the SB reps at FUN if this was the end of the Stack collection and they said it was besides a few items the family decided to keep as mementos. In reading Doug Winter's analysis of the Stack II sale, he references an upcoming III and IV. Anyone here have any information? I did not see any upcoming auctions or promotional material from SB.

The SB reps at the FUN show are accurate, there are no more installations of the James A. Stack sale in this season.

I believe I know where there was a misunderstanding with Doug Winter. There were four total sessions within the two-part sale. Each part started with a session consisted of high value coins, while the following session consisted of lower value items. Part I- Session 1, Session 2; Part 2- Session 1, Session 2. I could see it accidently being communicated or heard as a four-part sale.

At the very end of Doug's article he writes, "I expect that sales 3 and 4 of this remarkable collection will not be for the faint of heart….". So, it sound to me that he expects there to be 2 more auctions.
