In looking back over the last 4 years of choices, I feel confident this will be as good as any of them!
i think the Vikings are going to be a handful this season. i heard Justin Jefferson talking the other day and he was stoked. people can say what they want about Kyler, but if one of the best receivers in the NFL can't contain his excitement about the upcoming season with a new QB, that's all anyone really needs to know
I would be worried if someone who called that maybe their favorite pick in the draft agreed with me.
I would be worried about someone routinely opining like they know what they're talking about when they have a proven track record of not
here's Pro Football Network's take on Demmings. but i'm sure your analysis probably trumps theirs too.
i'll help you out a little......"maybe my favorite pick in the draft" & "one of the most intriguing FCS prospects" is not synonymous with Vikings fans getting mad about it

I agree the person that said its their favorite pick of the draft does have a proven track record of it. I actually watch a ton of college football and pay a ton of attention to it, I dont just go off who looks good in workout clothes at the combine. Theres numerous picks that are far more intriguing, better value etc that should be someones favorite pick in the entire draft.
Im right far far more often than Im wrong. If someone wanted to say he was their favorite day 3 pick of the Vikinigs thats fine, but of the entire draft thats just absurd.
Like I said its a 5th round pick who really cares. The other options with potential big upside that were still on the board were a WR which they dont need, a LB that had injury issues and was a Freshman All American before Kelly messed him up, and a QB that was probably the 2nd best QB in the draft that played hurt all of last year that they could have gotten in the 6th or 7th round if they wanted anyways.
I would have went with Perkins and skipped the WR and the QB especially since everyone is drooling over the QB class next year already which is why no one was making major trade ups and were coveting those 2027 first round picks

have you seen Demmings play even one snap? if so, i'll give your opinion a little -- not a lot -- of credence. if you haven't, then that's what makes you so entertaining.
i was actually at a Stephen F Austin game last year and saw him make a pick. i knew who he was before the Vikings ever selected him. but you won't see me prancing around acting like i know more than people who know more than i do.
Like I said its a 5th round pick who really cares.
exactly, so why should Vikings fans be mad?
Im right far far more often than Im wrong.
yeah, ok, sure. next up is you telling everyone with two functioning eyes that you're objective when it comes to the SEC & Big 10.
States he played just 1 year of HS football and appeared in 42 games for SFA, including graduating with a Public Health degree in 2025. You got to give him credit for sticking it out, as he could have transferred.
One could argue he's got more success/experience than their 1st round pick with 42 games played versus DT starting just 24 games.
Given the Vikings have only gotten 1 to 2 real contributors per draft for 10+ years, It's difficult to project or hold out hope on who is really going to excel or not.
Nine draft picks and 20 UDFA is a ton of new talent to bring in and closely evaluate. Man, I don't remember them signing 20 UDFAs -- seems like twice the typical number.
Edited to add: Now many are clamoring for the Vikings to hire a GM from the outside with McKay from LA Rams being a leading candidate (NO THANKS). Go ahead and do some interviews but I would prefer they just put Rob B. from interim to full-time.

Ill let you in on a secret, the NFL talking heads watch little to no college football. They watch highlight reels and go off combine numbers they arent there watching multiple games all day long tracking players. Even the ones that do cover college games cover one game a week that theyre broadcasting for.
The college guys project much better than they do. Never forget according to them and the combine Aaron Donald was supposed to be a backup or solid special teams player because a measuring tape meant more than game tape
Like I said its a 5th round pick who really cares.

Never said they should if you actually read what I said. What I said was if they were going to complain about something that would be it, not their first rounder or the draft overall
Im right far far more often than Im wrong.

you're the best bro.
SEC 87 players drafted NFL record, 20 years in a row with the most players
B!G 68 players drafted
Yes I am unbias about it, people just dont like what that means when it comes to analysis
Ill also let you in on another secret. The vast majority of traditional sports journalists went to a B!G school
Tua would have been good if he wasnt so injury prone. Dont write Young off yet they got him some help. Stroud I honestly dont know if hes going to be able to make the adjustments like the league has to him. Hes been getting worse every year
Sayin will likely end up being the best NFL QB from OSU whenever he decides to come out. Next years QB class is loaded and a couple of them have to go to the draft so Sayin might go back to OSU for another year since hell still have eligibility
Howard and Allar being in the same QB room with the Steelers just makes me laugh
Like I said its a 5th round pick who really cares.

here's the problem you're faced with -- i did read what you said. you make so many wild, outlandish statements that you can't even keep them straight
Which was implied that if they were going to be mad about one which the tone of the rest of the post clearly put across. But if you want to nit pick by means go ahead since youre ignoring everything else

I love the guys they picked.

Don't mess with the FCS

What a bunch of trash
Stroud might be ok but not sure
Never seen Demmings play, let alone heard of him.
