Helping spread the love for coin collecting...

The picture below doesn't look like much, but to me it's a big deal. It's our neighborhood "little library", a small structure where people can get books and perhaps leave some behind, kind of a neighborhood swap of books, comics and other reading material.
For the past couple of years, I've been leaving coin collecting related literature in there, like older Redbooks, auction catalogs and copies of various publications, like the PCGS Market Report mags, the Numismatist and others. I've also picked up some used Whitman albums and seeded them with some coins (like older wheat cents). I'm not sure who is taking them, but I've noticed that these kinds of items only stay in there a few days. I'd like to think that maybe I'm helping spread the joy of coin collecting. In the big picture, it's a small gesture. It sure is fun to do! I intend to do this into the foreseeable future.

I think this is a great idea, especially the coin folders. Well done. We reap what we sow!

Probably one neighborhood kid is checking it all the time for coins, like people who check Coinstars for silver coins and other change.
