Can Krause be wrong? I can't find official weights on the Perth Mint website for the 2008 Tuvalu KM-76 Blue Ring Octopus is listed as weighing 37.108 g which would be about 6 grams of paint since the coins is 31.1 grams of silver.
Here is the catch though. I brought one and it weighs 31.22 g.
Now similar coins from the same series, like the 2009 Tuvalu Saltwater Croc KM-87 weighs, according to Krause 31.105 Grams
That makes me think the number for the Blue Ring might be a editing error.

Of course it can be wrong. And it often is!
No. Just like the Internet, everything in Krause is absolutely 100% right.
