Isn't today, February 3rd PCGS's 40th birthday?
Beginning business back on February 3, 1986!
After a bit of research, PCGS was actually founded sometime in 1985, but yes, PCGS graded their first coin 40 years ago today!

Wouldn't this be the perfect time for PCGS to give out a 1986 silver eagle to each board member?

Do they encapsulate those per submission as of right now or are they preset to the normal slab unless asked?
It's a special label that you request and you pay extra for it.

oh, okay
Been sending PCGS coins for grading since 1986 (initially through Bill Spears Company in Washington state). Received my own authorized Dealer status in February 1990 - PCGS Dealer #370.
My OCD says stop changing the labels

No argument here.
However, I like the nostalgia of the reverse on this one. And up front a Green or Gold Sticker to round it off.
Given the right circumstance (a damaged holder w/plain blue label), I could see a reholder & resticker scenario play out for one of these...
Wait!! So I have kids older than PCGS?? Thanks for ruining my morning. James
