Interesting 1950s Baseball Attic Find Locally
While looking through FB market place this weekend, there was a seller that was seemingly cleaning out the grandparents' house. Lots of junk and household items for sale.
Of interest:
A listing with a 12x12 box of 1950s Topps cards all in individual mailing envelopes. It appears the grandfather or a family member had purchased the cards and sent them to the players (back when that was a thing) and the players sent the card back signed. Mantle, Mays, etc etc. All fresh cards from the envelopes with appropriate addresses (the teams and the same sender). I saved the listing, but it vanished the same day. I'm guessing someone came with a crazy offer or someone said "hey, you need to have these graded and auctioned".
Anyways, wish I had pictures or more information, but the ad didn't last long at all. I can't imagine what that whole lot was worth on the open market.
There are still cools finds it the wild it seems....

Yep. Those are the situations you drop everything to get in front of the seller immediately, or it’ll be gone. I have been luck enough to grab a couple deals similar to that in the past. They are out there.
