Silver Collector Coin Values

Does anyone have a feel for where collector coins and silver proof set prices are headed. I'm pretty reluctant to buy until the refiners catch up. Your thoughts?

One of life's futile efforts is to time the market; any market.

Keep in mind the following saying: "Pigs get fat; hogs get slaughtered."

Sell or buy when you're comfortable doing so. Trying to pretend that you can nail the market at a peak or at a valley is the best way to end up getting slaughtered.

Find something else to buy that is not related to the price of bullion.

Or just buy it because you like it and don't worry about the price of bullion.

I'm more concerned about what to expect when I go to the next coin auction. I'm going to guess that low grade Morgan (as an example) are going to reflect higher bullion prices where a $500 Morgan may show very little. I'm not sure though.

Price of bullion is a non Controllable that’s tough to predict.

Buy what fits in your budget and your relative CDN / CPG zone of comfort.

Yes low grade common date Morgans will still tend to be priced high by retail sellers, prices are almost always sticky to the high side. With silver having pulled back from the recent highs you should be able to buy them cheaper than a week ago, but then again who knows where silver spot will be by the time you are at the next auction.
