Buying From COMC
I am yet to figure out how COMC is so popular. Most of their prices are high. The shipping cost is outrageous. Their customer service is non existent. They never answer emails/messages. They have three cards that I need for a set I am working on. Their total price for the three cards is about $11. Shipping is $4.99, $4.99 and $2.99. Combined shipping is $4.99, $2.99 and $2 in an eBay standard envelope. All three can ship for less than $1. I have sent a couple messages through eBay but haven't gotten a response. I can't seem to find the cards I need anywhere else but I refuse to pay $9 to ship three overpriced cards that can be shipped for $1. Sorry for the rant.

If I need commons for player collections or team sets, I pay $.50 for $.10 commons. Sometimes they are the only ones who have them Dealers don't bring these to shows because they are not expensive. I usually ask the dealers to check at home and bring them next month to the show. If they dont' have them, I have no choice but to but them on COMC. Also, it takes a month for me to get the card.
Anyone know the best place to find 1973 Topps Baseball commons in high grade? Centered and if submitted to PSA would have a good shot of an 8. My best buddy is down to 48 cards for his set.
It sounds like they are BIN's so you should be able to get them on the website and choose shipping.

If you're buying COMC cards through ebay, you're not using COMC to your advantage.
If I see a card I want on ebay and the seller is COMC, I go straight to the COMC website.
Prices of COMC cards are higher on ebay than at COMC website, plus you can make offers to sellers on COMC.
And you can group together cards to ship for 1 price.
If you're buying COMC cards being auctioned on ebay, you can link the 2 accounts and have the cards transferred to your COMC account.
I'm not a fan of COMC as a seller, but I've had mostly good experiences with them as a buyer.
Well folks send cards to COMC that sell thru them and have credit on the platform to spend. So it’s like ‘free’ money in their eyes.

Exactly what @jackstraw and @RonSportscards said. Go directly to COMC, buy the cards for less than what it shows on ebay, and have them shipped from there. For 3 cards, you are going to pay $5.99 + $1.25 = $7.24 for shipping, unless what you are buying are graded cards. Unfortunately, shipping date would be March 10, unless you pay $11.74 for February 13 rushed.
If it's a set build, it doesn't sound like you would need the cards immediately, eventhough we have been accustomed to instant gratification. I use COMC for set builds all the time and temper my expectation of getting the cards immediately. If you need the cards immediately, you should just buy off ebay, knowing you will pay more for shipping.
Thanks for the responses. To be honest, I had completely forgotten about the COMC website. I haven't used it in several years. They had a couple more cards I need that they hadn't listed on eBay. I see that they charge sales tax if I add store credit. Do they charge sales tax again if I make a purchase using the store credit?
No, they don't. They charge for sales tax on new money coming into the system, but not on built up store credit.
I love COMC and use it pretty regularly. I regularly sub to them cards that are $10 or less that I get at card shows for less than a buck. It is pretty wild that they now get $0.90 (up from $0.75) a card and then take like 2% off each sale though. It has defintely changed how I buy cards at shows to put into my store.
I think in total I have put in $250-300 into my account when I first started but haven't had to add money since overall been profitable for me. I've never cashed out, I just build up credit and then buy cards I want and ship them all in bulk. I had like 20 graded cards and another 15-20 or so raw ones shipped to me for around $25 I believe.
I've also had fun flipping cards on there too. Buy some rookie for $2 and then sell it for $5. I did really well with Drake Maye this year. On the flip side I think I just threw away $30 on Chloe Kim cards that will now take forever to sell since she got silver and not gold.
Chloe rides again next week. You still got a chance.
I just requested shipment for 30 graded and 5 raw for $14.49
Only 918,000+ ahead of me. LOL
With that, I'm pretty much out of COMC.
Last Black Friday I listed all my cards 95% off, so other members are flipping those.
Still have a few that nobody wanted, even for $.05.
COMC was good for getting tough cards I needed to buy, and as a seller, selling cards I might not have easily sold.
My mistake was sending in too many cards with too little value that were losers after the fees.
Did they up the submission fee again? It was $0.65 per and then the sale percentage was 5%. I think the $0.90 + 2% is more attractive, especially if you're focused on anything that sells over $8.
Last time I submitted was when they offered something like a 25% discount (maybe two summers ago?). Was able to only pay like $0.35 submission per card. I don't expect to see that again.
I haven't ordered from them in quite some time. I remember shipping times were getting outrageous ...has that improved?
well i just put some cards in my shopping cart....shipping not until may 11th!!!!!
i put in for the regular shipping and after i finished they shaved a couple of weeks off. but still taking about 7 weeks.
No. I put in a shipment request on 2/12/26.
It showed over 900,000 Items Ahead of My Order with a 3/13/26 estimated ship date. Wishful thinking.
On 3/13/26 it still showed over 500,000 Items Ahead of My Order and they changed the estimated ship date to 4/19/26.
How quickly we forget their role in trimpocalypse. I think I've bought six cards from them and five were trimmed. It's where people go to dump their trimmed cards. I wouldn't buy fro them again just on principle.

I just received an order I put in early January, for reference.
