My Morgan & Peace Dollar Collection

Hello, I’m a teenage collector and I want to see what you guys think of my collection of slabbed silver dollars. There’s supposed to be a 1921-P Morgan in the mix but it was sent to PCGS for a crossover submission. I’ll hopefully be adding four morgans to the mix once my other PCGS submission arrives. But until that happens, here is my full collection! If you want to see one of the coins by itself, just ask and I’ll post pictures of both sides in this post. Anyway, I just want to see your opinions on my collection! I started collecting silver dollars in July 2023, starting with the 1882.
(If you would like to see the morgan, the serial number is 6845242-003, there are trueview images)

Question about coin grading (since I really don’t want to make too many posts in one day) — If I wanted to have a shot at getting a plus grade for my coins do I mark it on the form or do they just do it on their own?

Looks like you are off to a good start. With the price of silver, you already have quite a bit of value there.

    Nice set.

I have to wonder if the person who put that 1922 Peace dollar in the slab was half asleep that day.

    US Navy CWO3 retired. 12/81-09/04

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.

They do rotate over time -- There is a Youtube video out there that shows you how to rotate them back.

You don’t need to specifically request a plus, when submitting regrades. However, in the case of lower value coins, in many instances, the added value of a + (or even a full point upgrade) doesn’t offset the cost of the submission.

Just glancing (sideways) at your pictures, my guess is that most of the coins don’t merit the cost of resubmission. And that would apply even if they looked to be conservatively graded.

Thank you for your input! I don’t really plan on resubmitting any of these unless its for a reslabbing if and when the case gets too scratched to really see; I asked the question so I didn’t have to make another post!

On a reconsideration, don't you need to mark which option? + grade, full point, etc

Yeah, I just did a cross over NGC to PCGS and I had to list the coins’ current grade as well as minimum crossover grade

I made this mistake, I didn't choose an option and they then assume grade for grade.

there are polishes for plastic that will take care of most, but not all, slab types. i'm not aware of a pcgs slab that can't be polished

    one is meguiar's PlastX

Welcome to the forum. I don't think we have too many teenage collectors who post so it's good that you're here.

You don't have to indicate NFS (not for sale) on this particular forum. It is assumed. If something is for sale, that would belong on the BST (Buy, Sale, Trade) forum.

Do you think any merit a Plus designation?

    Many happy BST transactions

Not specifically, but I think it's really a question that didn't require its own post so I just put it here. Maybe a coin or two in the set posted would merit a plus grade designation but the value of all of the coins, aside from possibly the 1886 would really be worth getting sent in for a second opinion.

You have done well with the rise in the value of silver!

I see you have four silver dollars with stickers. Based on my experiences not having coins passed by CAC and given you are just beginning a lifetime of collecting, I suggest limiting future purchases to only coins with stickers for the time being.

Three are CACG coins and one is PCGS with a green bean; other than that, I can't really afford CAC stickered coins as they go for several hundred dollars on average so they're a bit out of my budget for now. I might get my first job this summer though.
