With most shows in the Northeast canceled today Sun, the Atlantic City Numismatic Society were fortunate to have scheduled their show on Sat…
Previously this was a 2 show a year event but the club has added a 3rd show called the winter show
We look forward to their shows with about 60 tables as some interesting coins due tend to show up and their is a nice mix of dealers there. Several of the dealers were a bit unhappy with the turnout which was a bit less than what we normally see in the spring and fall and the comments were not favorable as to adding a third show. Personally I have heard the same comment for Baltimore and Gettysburg having 3 shows a year where dealers felt 2 would be better….
Anyway we travel about 3 hours to get there and arrived early about 7am to set up…. We were set up next to Rinho metals and David and Annette are very nice bullion dealers local to the area with a nice mix of metal items for sale. After setting up our mission was to buy buy buy to replace so many coins that we have sold the past month. Neat stuff is always hard to find but we had success in purchasing some great colonials from a vest dealer that was looking to move his personal collection…. Next we found a great group of a bakers dozen 3 cent nickels. These were raw but nice collector coins. Some more buys and before we knew it the doors were opening and the collectors came in. Typical of shows lately a lot of people were selling silver. Interesting that dealers were only offering 50x face. We purchased a bunch as a better rate from some folks but it’s not something that we love to buy as it gets pretty heavy ($1000 face is like 55 lbs)
Here are a couple of pics of the show for you to get a feel

Btw my thanks to the club members who actually man the kitchen supplying both breakfast and lunch to everone. They work many hours and it’s really nice to be able to buy decent food at fair prices. I got a turkey sandwich and soda for $6 dollars which I thought was quite fair
By around 1:30 it was emptying out so it was time to pack up and return to NY. Made it back to the shop in three hours and im writing this report a day later now snowed in with 20” of snow
So hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend and hope to see folks at our next show Parsipany Nj next Sunday.

Looks like a nice show !
Your first photo shows a lot of “heavy” people. I’ve read that in the U.S. there are about 90 million obese people. These, of course, are “round figures”, lol.
