anyone watch him scale Taipei 101 without a rope last night? i caught it and when it was over i was sweating like a pig and my feet were numb. it's one thing to watch him spider-man his way to the top of El Capitan in a documentary knowing that he didn't die, but when you watch him live it's a completely different ball game.

the guy is superhuman. he's the Jordan of rock climbing, except he never misses a shot. if he bricked even one, there would be a tombstone with his name on it. he processes fear unlike anyone else. a different breed, to be sure.

    I caught the last 30-40 minutes. pretty incredible. I have loosely followed him since "free solo" came out back in 2018. the guy is a maniac.

    it makes me feel lightheaded just watching him. the crazy thing is, he considered it a fairly low risk climb.

    Did not see this, but if was watching it probably would of eaten a box of Dramimine.

    I don’t think he “processes fear differently than anyone else” I believe he just doesn’t experience fear. I also think that it will lead to his death eventually.

    I heard there was a 10 second delay just in case the worst happened it wouldnt be broadcast on live tv.

    go watch free solo, if you haven't already. he admits to getting scared, but it's not paralyzing fear that you and i would experience if we attempted what he's doing in the picture below. they performed an MRI on him in that documentary and examined his brain. it doesn't function the way yours and mine does.
